An ideal class for students, including seniors and those with chronic pain. Perfect for those who are new to yoga and wish to practice at a gentler pace. We practice seated and supine postures for opening the body gently and gradually. Some standing postures may be introduced. We use props, such as chairs, blankets, bolsters, straps, blocks and the wall to assist us in the process. Therapeutic breathing techniques are practiced to encourage deep relaxation. This class is great for releasing stiff joints, increasing overall range of motion, flexibility and experiencing deep relaxation. Suitable for all yoga students including those with chronic pain.
