Yin Yoga

This slow-paced style of yoga utilizes postures or asanas that are held for comparatively long periods of time–five minutes or longer per pose is typical.  Poses target connective tissue, specifically ligaments and tendons in the joins and spine.  Over time, the practice of Yin yoga can lengthen these tissues, increasing the range of motion.  It is a great practice for the purpose of improving health and longevity.
