While growing up on a farm in Ohio, Jen learned about being active from chasing cows and hauling vegetables from the garden. This upbringing taught her about sustaining an active lifestyle and eating foods that help the body move well – passions which she shares with others. Jen’s primary fitness interest include endurance sports performance, women’s fitness, body image and perceptions, older adult fitness, chronic pain management and outdoor exercise. Her personal training approach is to consider all aspects of a person’s life, aiming to educate and provide fitness training and lifestyle mentoring. Jen says, “achieving goals and being healthy does not mean that you will always be free of disease or pain – it means being free to discover a state of complete physical, mental, spiritual and social health despite life’s challenges.”

Spencer has worked with many people at different levels of training. He has worked with some of the top athletes in the NFL, MLB, MMA and pro tennis to fitness clients of all ages. He has performed at high levels in his athletic career and knows what it takes to be great. He was the starting linebacker at Ohio University and a 4 time Junior Olympian in track and field in the 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter and 200-meter hurdles. During his time as a student athlete, Spencer was the president of the Ohio University and Mid-American Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee. He was selected as a National Student Athlete Advisory Committee division 1-A and the National Student Athlete representative for Amateur and Agency for the NCAA.

Training from the ground up and from the middle to out in proper movement patterns utilizing multiple disciplines of training when designing training systems and motivating people. Human performance is his passion and life.

He enjoys running outdoors in Scottsdale and to try new intense workouts at the Village. Jason’s biggest hobby is traveling, motorcycles and downhill adventure skiing.
