Kensey has been an athlete and runner her whole life. She spent time throughout college observing and working with college athletes and local strength coaches which led her to an internship with the Chicago Bulls. She has worked in a hospital-based fitness center as well as a corporate fitness center. Her experiences have provided her with countless learning opportunities to work with people of all ages and fitness levels.

Hannah Gallagherh gallagher v Verrado Village Personal Trainers

Hannah gained a true interest in movement in 1993 in the dance department at Scottsdale Community College. During this time she was introduced to the Pilates method and soon after began studying sports massage at Rain Star Massage College. In 1996 Hannah became an LMT and continued to pursue training in the art of Pilates.

In 1998 after completing the required physical assessment at Drago’s Gym in New York, Hannah began her 700-hour apprenticeship to learn the Pilates Method of teaching. She had the privilege to attend the Authentic Pilates training program that was led by Joe Pilates’ tutelage Romana Kryzanowska. After successfully completing the Authentic Pilates training program in 2002, Hannah earned the status of being a second generation Pilates instructor. She has trained on 15 pieces of Pilates equipment focusing on injury care and rehabilitation. Teaching Authentic Pilates has allowed Hannah to work with clients ranging from those looking to better their health to professional athletes.

Hannah believes you need to mentally and physically coordinate the body and mind for overall fitness and well being which will inevitably bring peace to your spirit.

Chris graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri with a bachelor’s of science in exercise science.

Health and fitness have always played an integral role in Chris’ life.  Chris grew up in Goodyear, Arizona where he played football and baseball.  After graduating high school, Chris continued playing football at the collegiate level for Truman State University where he earned a bachelor’s of science in exercise science. Over the years, Chris has developed a strong passion for health and fitness and a desire to help people attain their peak goals in wellness.

Erica graduated in 1994 with a bachelor’s of science in fitness and sports management – exercise physiology from Central Washington University.

Erica’s fitness story began at age 4 when she completed her first track meet and sports has always been an integral part of Erica’s life since. At age 15 she was group exercise teacher assistant at the local YMCA and at age 17 was leading her own classes. During her collegiate years at Central Washington University, Erica continued to lead fitness classes and started her own personal training business. Erica relocated to Arizona in 2007 and in 2008 joined the team at the Verrado Village as athletic director. In her free time she coaches track, assists with football and wrestling training and participates in running and biking challenges.

Fitness Philosophy

Assisting others help achieve their fitness goals is a way of paying it forward and being a part of their wellness success is very rewarding. Being active is a way of life for Erica, let her help it become part of yours!

Elizabeth graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, concentraing in exercise science.

Fitness Specializations and Interests

Liz has always had an interest in sports and exercise, especially the movement of the human body. As a high school athlete, Liz swam 100 yard fly and 500 yard freestyle. Initially, she was interested in becoming a physical therapist, however, in pursuing her interest in movement Liz became interested in the benefits of exercise on metabolism, both resting and during exercise.
