For children ages 5–12

To make camp a more enjoyable and successful experience, please provide your child with the following items:

  • Sack lunch and beverage clearly marked with child’s name (or campers may purchase lunch from the Camp Menu for $8 per day) Nut and peanut products are NOT allowed
  • Nonmarking athletic shoes (no sandals, please)
  • Camp attire: shirt and shorts
  • Water bottle and personal items marked with child’s name

Please make sure all electronic devices are left at home. The Village is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

STAFF

Your children are safe at camp. Campers are
supervised by well-qualified staff that received
special training including CPR, to ensure campers are in a safe and fun environment.

ARRIVAL + DEPARTURE

Drop-off and pick-up from camps will be in the
Back Field. The back gate will be open 15 minutes
before and after camps. If dropped off prior to
8:45am or picked later than 3:15pm, you will be
charged the $15 extended camp fee. If your child
needs to leave camp early, please notify the
coach in writing that morning at drop-off.

CANCELLATIONS

You MUST cancel in writing THREE BUSINESS
DAYS prior to the start of each weekly camp
session. The $25 deposit is nonrefundable and
nontransferable.

REFUND POLICY

All refunds are given on a case by case basis.

LATE REGISTRATION

You must sign up for at least one week of camp
by the Thursday prior to the week starting or a
late registration fee of $15 per child per week
will be charged. You may add additional weeks
as long as you register by the Thursday prior
to the week you are adding. There will be a $15
drop-off fee for any child showing up without
being preregistered by the prior Thursday.

DEPOSITS + BILLING

There will be a nonrefundable, nontransferable
deposit of $25 for each week of camp. The
deposit will be put towards the weekly camp
fees and the balance shall be paid each Friday
prior to the start of the weekly camp session.
Nonpayment will terminate your child’s
spot in camp. Balances will be charged Friday
prior to the start of each weekly camp session.
If you do not have a Village membership
charge account. please provide a credit card
for billing purposes.

Camp Activities

ULTIMATE SPORTS TRAINING

MORNING SESSION for Ages 5–11

At Camelback Village, our focus is sports,
sports, and more sports. If it has a ball, we
will Play it. We will focus on proper daily
warm-ups and stretching before engaging
in active play.

• Relay Races • Field Games
• Soccer • Basketball

That’s just to name a few activities we will
touch on throughout the summer.

SWIM AND WATER TIME

AFTERNOON SESSION

Every week we will pick a stroke-of-the-week
to master: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke,
or the fly. Kids will learn proper swimming
technique and instruction throughout the
summertime. It won’t be all work—we will
also have free swim and play lots of water
games while chillin’ poolside with music
and friends. (Kids must be able to swim in
order to participate in this camp.)

EXTENDED CAMP

$15/day per session ($30/day for both)

Morning Stretch 7:30–9:00am
Kids will get warmed up for camp with stretching and active games.

Afternoon Stretch 3:00–5:00pm
Kids will finish the day with cool-down exercises and games.

COACHES IN TRAINING (CIT)

Weekly for Ages 12–15

Hands on training with Camelback Village Camp Coaches. Training on positive discipline, positive interaction with children, sportsmanship, team
building, and mentoring will be the focus of these future coaches. “CITs” will be asked to lead games and activities and step out of their comfort zone to build on their leadership skills and become role models for our campers. Upon request, we will give
letters of recommendation and letters of community
hours completed in summer 2017.

LUNCH 11:30am–12:30pm

Bring your own or buy camp lunch for $8 per day. Weekly camp lunch menus will be given and/or emailed out the Friday prior to the start of each camp week. Camp lunch includes a healthy balanced lunch and beverage with a morning and afternoon snack.

FIELD TRIP FRIDAYS*

FULL DAY 9:00am–3:00pm

$60 if no camp that week
$50 if at least one day of camp attended

Field trips will includes places such as
Amazing Jakes, Odysea Aquarium, Science
Center, Laser Quest, Top Golf, Wildlife Zoo

REGISTRATION + PAYMENT

Members will be charged for camp when the registration form is turned in. Parents need to pick up a camp packet when they turn in their registration form to the Youth Services department and bring all completed forms with them on the first day of camp. Members need to have charging privileges on their member account or a
credit card on file. Nonmembers must set up a guest account at the front desk and attach a credit card to the account to pay for camp. If you are paying by cash or
check, selected weeks must be paid in full when you turn in your registration form.

Camp Activities

CAMP ACTIVITIES

Every morning, we will begin our day with active games in the courts, followed by swimming. We will have free swim, as well as playing water
games, while keeping cool in the summer heat!

Children may choose to participate in several different specialty activities throughout the
afternoon including Sports Academy, Ultimate Dodgeball, Challenger Games, Jr. Olympics, Art in Motion, Variety of Dance, Shape It Up, Yoga, Healthy Cooking Classes and more!

FIELD TRIPS*

Each Friday we will have a field trip or on-site special event. The cost of field trips has not been included in the camp fee and will be $30/child. Remember to have your camper wear his/her camp t-shirt for these events. There is no alternative camp on Fridays during the field trips.

CAMP T-SHIRTS

Each child will receive a t-shirt which will be available for pick-up the first day of camp. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $8 per shirt while supplies last. Camp t-shirts need to be worn every Friday or when we have a
field trip or special event.

LUNCH

You have the option of bringing your child’s lunch from home (all lunches must be peanut and nut-free) or purchasing a lunch for your camper from the Village Café for $6. Menus for the rest of the week will be available on Mondays.

pick-up (prior to 3:00pm) requires that a staff be
notified the morning of early dismissal.The
parent or guardian picking up the child must
sign them out.

CAMP ACTIVITIES

The Gainey Village Health Club & Spa camp program offers all participants a comprehensive all-day, fun-filled experience at our award-winning multi-recreational facility. Campers will meet new friends and learn a variety of basic sport skills through supervised, age-appropriate instruction and game activities. Sportsmanship and fun will be emphasized to include all campers.

Each morning we’ll begin with warm-up stretches and games, followed by weekly themed activities. That will then take us right into lunch at 12pm!
We’ll finish the day with free swim and water games to keep cool during the summer heat! Our campers will have a variety of specialized instruction including yoga, dance, basketball, field games, relay races, and so much more.

FIELD TRIP FRIDAYS*

The cost of Friday field trips has been included in weekly camp fees. If not signed up for the entire week, Field Trip Fridays have a flat rate of $60 (rather than the normal daily camp fee). Campers will be given permission slips and information on the field trips
at the beginning of each session.
