Fitness For Your Mind & Body: Yoga, Aerial Yoga, And Hot Yoga
In yoga, the challenge is to go slower, find ease, and do less to achieve more. Yes, even in the “power” classes. This doesn’t mean you won’t sweat, build muscle, and burn calories. In reality, being mindful and attentive on the mat is more difficult, and more rewarding, than haphazardly racing through a sequence of poses.
Even the most seasoned yogi is still learning, evolving. That’s the beauty of yoga. Approach each class with open eyes, ears, mind, and heart. Regular yoga practice is a great way to address common health conditions such as insomnia, lower back paid, stress, or anxiety.
Traditional Yoga – the Village offers a variety of yoga classes from basic yoga to more advanced classes. Our experienced instructors support and guide you through the class with personal attention to ensure proper form. Come to class with an open mind and embrace the opportunity to do something positive for your body and mind.
Hot yoga – the postures are performed in a state-of-the-art heated room, with temperatures reaching up to 106 degrees Fahrenheit and added humidity. Hot yoga allows for deeper stretching, more efficient fat burning and incredible detoxification. Warming the body assists the capillaries to dilate which increases oxygen flow. Heat helps release toxins and impurities, and detoxifies the body.
Hot yoga provides a full body workout that will cleanse and strengthen the physical body while building internal strength and awareness. Many people think they can’t handle the heat, and it does take getting used to, but it doesn’t hurt to try it and reap the benefits.
Aerial Yoga – a combination of traditional yoga poses done on the floor, and yoga postures that are practiced using a soft aerial hammock suspended from the ceiling, allowing participants to go deeper into yoga poses and meet new challenges. Aerial Yoga is currently available at DC Ranch Village and Gainey Village.
