Matt Koithan

A massage therapist since 2008, Matt joined the Gainey Village in 2018. He enjoys being able to help clients feel their best by decreasing pain and improving mobility. Also a certified personal trainer, Matt has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. His background in physical therapy has allowed him to develop his massage skills through his knowledge of biomechanics. Matt’s experience has given him the confidence to help clients with injuries, muscular imbalances, and range of motion. He feels that bodywork can have a profound effect on athletic performance and likes being a part of his client’s journey.

Kali Ray Torres

Kali Ray joined the Gainey Village Massage team in 2017. She started at the Village in 2001 as a certified Yoga Instructor. While she earned her degree in interdisciplinary studies in communication and theater at ASU, her passion for a holistic approach led to working with private clients who sought to improve alignment and ease stress through Thai Yoga Therapy. Her massage modalities include Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, and Cranial Sacral. She uses these skills to create a personalized “whole body” treatment for every guest. Her passion for health and continued education keeps her confident in her ability to support others in their health and wellness programs.

Tom Wrigley

Licensed Massage Therapist-LMT

A licensed massage therapist since 2002, Tom started at the Gainey Village in 2003. Tom is certified in various therapeutic and sports techniques including neuromuscular, trigger point, Vichy, and body treatments. He is experienced in techniques used to address chronic pain and is passionate about helping people with long term issues increase their range of motion. He customizes each therapeutic treatment by focusing on problem areas first as that helps him determine what muscles might be involved or affected. With this approach he has been able to achieve maximum results.

Tom can perform therapeutic work at all levels of intensity from lighter more relaxing strokes to deep and more muscle specific.

Maurice Pauze

Licensed Massage Therapist- LMT

A licensed massage therapist since 1998, Maurice started at the Gainey Village in 2001. He is certified in several therapeutic modalities including stone massage, but specializes in neuromuscular therapy. He is passionate about relieving pain and has spent years perfecting techniques to increase range of motion and release knots.

Maurice is also a certified Pilates instructor here at the Village. He points out that “massage releases knots and Pilates keeps them that way by working the core, stretch- ing and restoring good bio-mechanics.”

An avid outdoorsman, Maurice feels his experience in the wellness industry has helped him in his life as well. Working through his own injuries has allowed him a deeper understanding of what his clients are going through.

Karen Andrews

Licensed Massage Therapist- LMT

Karen has been a licensed massage therapist since 1994. She started at the Gainey Village in 2010. She is certified in both neuromuscular and myofascial massage and is an aromatherapy expert. She is passionate about creating a healing environment for each client. A er assessing each client’s needs, Karen uses her knowledge and experience to create a specific protocol unique to each guest. She prides herself on maintaining a healthy, positive relationship with members. Her ability to create fluid protocols that change over time has allowed her to build a long list of regular clients.

Janis Timko

Licensed Massage Therapist-LMT

A licensed massage therapist since 1991, Janis has worked at the Gainey Village since 2012. She is certified in myo-skeletal alignment techniques, myofascial trigger point, neuromuscular massage, medical massage, lymphatic drainage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, ayurvedic massage and was trained in reflexology at the International Institute of Reflexology. She believes in balancing these therapeutic modalities with relaxation.

Jan has an extensive background in training and career development that has been a great asset in working with her clients to create the most effective body work plan for them.

Geo Emory

Licensed Massage Therapist- LMT

A licensed massage therapist since 1999, Geo started at the Gainey Village in 2003. She is certified in myotherapy, therapeutic, hot and cold stone massage, reflexology and numerous body treatments. She specializes in therapeutic shoulder work affecting range of motion, neck, shoulders, and lower back. Geo likes to work together with her clients to achieve real relaxing results.

She loves performing Thai stretch to enhance flexibility. When performing stone massage she works with hot stones to calm down external tissue and cold stones to reduce stored inflammation. Geo points out that her clients may come in with “issues in the tissues” but they depart with ease, relaxation and comfort.

Elise Wojciechowski

Licensed Massage Therapist-LMT

A licensed massage therapist since 1999, Elise started at Gainey Village in 1999. She is certified in reflexology, prenatal and various therapeutic modalities as well as body treatments and wraps. She enjoys giving massage that ranges from relaxing to deeper treatments. Her goal is to create warm a relaxed environment where clients leave refreshed. She is skilled at working with the senior population to relax muscles and increase range of motion. She enjoys the challenge of pulling from her years of experience to send even the most particular clients home having had a great massage.

Brian Tufts

Licensed Massage Therapist-LMT

A licensed massage therapist since 1999, Brian has been working at the Gainey Village since 2005. He is certified in Therapeutic, Thai and Sports Massage, Integrated Manual Therapy and Active and Myofascial Release Technique. He is passionate about educating clients to be er care for themselves and finds listening to be one for the most important aspects of his practice.

Brian who believes in good nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle was able to utilize his extensive experience in therapeutic treatments while working with the Arizona Cardinals for several seasons. He worked directly with trainers, doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists to keep players in peak condition.

Bo Wojciechowski

Licensed Massage Therapist-LMT

Bo started at the Gainey Village in 2000. She is certified in hot stone, aromatherapy, Thai and therapeutic. She enjoys making her guests feel welcome and works to create a treatment specific to each client. She specializes in sports and deep tissue work a er having spent time working in physical therapy where she has addressed sports and orthopedic injuries.

Originally from Poland and one of our most tenured therapists, Bo is very happy when she creates a treatment that meets her client’s needs.
