Camelback Tennis Director

Prior to joining Camelback Village, Ryan served as the Head Tennis Professional at the Seattle Tennis Club (STC). At STC, Ryan was primarily responsible for managing the adult tennis programs. In addition to his role at the STC, Ryan founded the Seattle Tennis Association (STA), a nonprofit organization geared toward bringing tennis programs to the greater Seattle community. Through the STA, Ryan created the Seattle Pro Tennis League. A prize-money league for 5.0+ players who compete in head-to-head matches across various venues in Seattle. Before his time at the Seattle Tennis Club, Ryan was the Assistant Coach for the University of Arizona men’s tennis program for two years. Prior to Arizona, he worked as a tennis professional for Olde Providence Racquet Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ryan is certified as an Elite Professional with the USPTA and Adult Development Professional with the PTR. He has served on the USPTA Board for the PNW Section. During his collegiate days, Ryan played for North Carolina State University for two years and the University of North Carolina – Charlotte for two years. At UNC – Charlotte, Ryan played #2 singles and #1 doubles and served as captain his senior year. While serving as captain, the team won the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship and automatic bid for the Division 1 NCAA Championship. He is listed in the UNC – Charlotte record books for the most doubles wins in a single season. As a junior, Ryan was ranked #1 in Kentucky, top 15 in the South, and top 100 in the Nation. Before returning to tennis full-time, Ryan was an attorney in the litigation group for K&L Gates in Seattle and the Hatcher Law Group in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is licensed in North Carolina and Washington. Ryan enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Sarah and their two boys, Logan and Mason.

Marisa was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC and started tennis at age nine. She went on to play at Brigham Young University Hawaii and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing. She left with an undefeated tennis record and the team was nationally ranked at #2 and #3 throughout the years she attended.

Rob a ended Brigham Young University in Utah. He was the 1996 National 40’s Hardcourt Doubles Champion and played professional baseball for the California Angels.

Brian graduated From the University of Arizona; he was a three-time All- American tennis player; an instructor pilot for the United States Air Force; and won the 80+ USTA National Championships.

Mike graduated from St.Cloud State University with a bachelor’s degree in recreation & coaching. He was the 1999 Arizona State Doubles Champion, Men’s 35 and over. While at St. Cloud State University he was a player and coach
