Words of advice: Keeping our bodies strong in all the right places will help us continue doing the things we love for years to come.

Summer Bagley

Pilates found me after recovering from an injury.  After my first class, I was hooked!  It wasn’t long after that, I obtained my MAT certification and opened Studio One Pilates where I taught out of my home in addition to other venues.  I went on to finish my full apparatus training through Physical Mind Institute in 2008 and co-founded the first Pilates studio in our area in rural Illinois.  In addition, I opened a private studio in my home where I taught all ages and stages for many years.  I continue practicing the beautiful art of Pilates after 20 years and have a special place in my heart for those with injuries, pre- and post-natal, and working with athletes.

Using my clinical experience as a nurse, I bring a deep understanding of the body to my teaching and enjoy continuously sharpening my skills as an instructor.  When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my beautiful family, hiking the mountains, or writing from my sticky farm table about all things health and wellness.
